💌 A letter from a pen pal
Castleton, 28 February
Dear Pen pal,
My name is Barry Croft. I live in Castleton, Cambridgeshire, Britain. I'm 15 years old. I'm a pupil at Castleton High School. I'm in the third year.
I don't like going to school very much. I prefer other things. But this year is different. We have a girl from Australia in our class and I'm sitting next to her. We're having a good time. This makes school life a lot more pleasant.
My hobbies are the same as yours: tennis, wind-surfing and travelling. I'm also interested in music, especially pop music. I play the guitar. I would like to have my own band. At the moment I'm looking for some friends to play together with.
Here's a picture of my family. I'm in the middle, in front of my parents. Next to me is my little brother Darren. He's nine. The girl on the left is my sister Sheila. She's four years older than I am. She's a shop assistant: she works in a supermarket. My father is an electrician. My mother works in an office.
We have two pets: a dog, Scrunch, and a cat, Minnie. I take care of the dog mostly. My sister loves the cat better. Have you got any pets?
Tomorrow is my birthday. I wonder what presents I'm going to get. Do you celebrate people's birthday in your country? What happens then?
